snowboarding again.

hey team, i think we were up to day 5 in my snowboarding week before i was cut off by the internet. i have another hour to use, so we'll get going:

Day 5: woke up a bit stiff, actually i couldnt really move the right side of my body at all- the bruise on my hip was starting to come through. but i was only here for another 2 days so there was no way i wasnt goning to get out there...we went to a new place today 'La Flaerge' went down to the green slopes with the other guys for a while and warmed up a bit, then caught the the cable car up to the top of the slopes and started hammering away- some really nice blue and red runs had great visibilty- so no more big stacks today. had a great time. the other guys went home early, i stayed and caught the bus home. great day, got home absolutely exhausted and a tad stiff.

Day 6: we went back to La Flaerge again today, but the visibility was rubbish, so we just mucked around, went off the trails a bit, did a few jumps and just mucked around. i fell on my hip twice, but it was at slow speeds and i was mucking around, so i guess i cant complain- was cool just chilling out. the cloud came down even lower so we went home at about midday- which was a shame as it was out last day. at 2pm. i decieded to go out once more, want back to les grand montets, it looked like it was covered with cloud, but once i was at the top it was perfect. the cloud had lowered...woohoo...so i had a few more hours hammering down the slopes. i also taped my camera to my head with gaffa tape and took a few 'headcam' videos. great fun.

Day 7: up at 6am, to return the car and fly home. back to the normal grind.

So that was is, as soon as it had started it was over. the week flew by so quickly. my first experience with real snowy snowboarding, and i can say i finally found one good thing to cheer about in winter. it is starting to warm up a bit over here, is about 10 degrees today..woohoo..anyways i have to run...im going to ireland tomorrow for a whirlwind tour and to catch up with an uncle ive met once. sounds like and adventure. take it easy. andy
